Medford Resident Earns Black Belt

This past Friday 2/27, New England Movement Arts graduated 5 of their students to Kempo Karate black belts. Sophie Schwinn of Medford, MA was one of those who graduated. This is Schwinn’s second black belt having already attained a second degree black belt in Okinawa Kenpo Karate.

The students have trained under Sensei Nathan Porter. “It’s amazing to see that in 4 years these students achieved their goals. Now the real training can begin,” proclaimed Porter after he congratulated the students.

Nathan Porter owns Rising Storm Training Academy, which operates within New England Movement Arts. Porter was inducted into the World Martial Arts Federation Hall of Fame for “Outstanding Youth Instruction” in 2010.
