Public Rally Urges Police to Get Narcan
|On Tuesday afternoon people marched from Medford City Hall to the police station in an effort to urge police to obtain Narcan. The event was organized by Medford Overcoming Addiction; the group estimated about thirty people participated in the rally. Narcan is commonly used by law enforcement and medical officials to reverse the effects of a heroin overdose. At a meeting last month, Police Chief Leo Sacco said his department was “close” to getting Narcan and that he hoped to have it by the end of the month. Courtesy photo.
