Falco Seeking Council Seat
|On Sunday, May 3rd John C. Falco, Jr. officially announced his candidacy for the Medford City Council. Falco is currently serving in his third term on the Medford School Committee and is currently Vice Chair. During his tenure on the School Committee, Falco has played a key role in the ongoing transformation of the Medford Public Schools by advocating and implementing a:
– $3.3 million technology upgrade throughout the Medford Public Schools
– $15 million renovation of the science labs at Medford High School
– Modernization of the Medford Vocational Technical High School to offer state-of-the art programming.
Falco decided to seek a seat on the Medford City Council after being urged by residents who believe his professionalism and proactive approach will bring civility, accountability, and, results to the council. In his remarks, Falco stated that “this is a pivotal moment in our community as we are in the midst of political, economic, and cultural change.†In conversation with residents about the city he often hears long-time residents describe themselves as “old Medfordâ€, while recent residents describe themselves as “new Medford.†Falco stated, “it’s never been new Medford or old Medford, because I believe we are One Medford.†As a city councilor, Falco
