Tufts Softball, Lax Teams Earn Repeat National Titles

Tufts University Jumbos wrapped up a successful Memorial Day weekend with repeat NCAA titles for both the men’s lacrosse and women’s softball teams.

On Saturday the lacrosse team won their second straight and third overall national title with a 19-11 victory over Lynchburg College. According to information released by Tufts, the team also won its sixth straight conference title and had a record seven players earning All-American honors.

On Monday the softball team became the first Division 3 softball team to earn its third straight national title. With a win over the University of Texas-Tyler, the undefeated Jumbos have won fifty-one straight games, a D3 record, according to information released by Tufts.
