Medford Residents Travel to See Pope Francis

Mayor Michael McGlynn was among thousands who made a pilgrimage to Washington, DC to see Pope Francis. The Mayor had tickets for the welcoming ceremony on Wednesday morning on the South Lawn of the White House. He is pictured above with his wife, Sheila. Medford resident and Anna Maria College junior Deirdre Carbone is heading to Philadelphia on Friday to see the pontiff. Carbone and other students will attend a VIP ticketed event at Independence Hall on September 26 and the World Meeting of Families Papal Mass at Benjamin Franklin Parkway on September 27.
