AC Cross-Country Earns Tri-Meet Win

The Arlington Catholic boys and girls cross country teams continued their winning ways with a tri-meet victory over Cardinal Spellman and Matignon in Brockton on September 22.
The Lady Cougars, undefeated in 47 consecutive meets dating back to 2009, topped Spellman 19-39 and Matignon 15-50. The boys defeated Matignon 15-48 and narrowly edged Spellman, the defending league champion, by a single point, 27-28.
AC junior Alexandra Kay (Melrose) won the race while freshman Chloe Stubblebine (Lincoln), senior Olivia Bowman (Melrose), junior Karmen Lu (Malden), and freshman Ashley Capobianco (Burlington) were 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th, respectively.
AC junior Kevin Hickey (Arlington) won the boys race. He was closely followed by teammates Andrew Doyle (4th, Medford), Shawn Brown (5th, Burlington), Mike Venditti (7th, Lexington), and James Cordero (9th, Woburn).
