Arcade Building Demolished

The Arcade Building, located in Medford Square on Forest Street next to the Post Office, has been completely demolished on November 2. The building has been empty since 2009 due to contamination caused by a dry cleaners that used to be in the building. According to Ken Krause, the Medford resident who took the photos below, owner/developer Mike Casoli said he intends to put up a four-story, mixed-use building with retail on the first floor and residential above. Clean up of contaminated soil on the site still needs to take place. The building was built in 1908.
