Lady Mustang Hockey Team Defeats Shawsheen

On January 18th the Medford High girls varsity hockey team defeated Shawsheen Tech 9-4 at the Janas rink in Lowell. The Lady Mustangs led from start to finish as they scored five goals in the first period, three goals in the second period, and one in the final period.

It was a total team effort in the win as ten players recorded at least a goal or an assist. Highlighting the scoring was freshman Brenna Forbes (3 goals, 1 assist), junior Ailish Fallon (2 goals, 2 assist), and eighth grader Erin Allen (2 goals, 1assist). Medford goalies Patricia MacLean and Terrell Pesaturo combined in goal for the win. Shawsheen senior netminder Devynn Fleming made forty saves for the Rams.

The Lady Mustangs’ next home game is January 30th versus the Beverly Panthers at 4:00 pm at LoConte rink.
