Maxwell, Buddie Seeking Homes
|Maxwell, Cat of the Month
I am Maxwell, a 2-year-old boy and I am looking for a home. I am friendly, handsome and playful but, I tend to play a bit rough with some of my foster brothers and sisters. It could be that I need more time to settle in because I just arrived here in my foster home. Just in case, I may require a home with a friendly yet non-dominant resident cat or a home where I can be king of my land. More will to be learned about me in the next few days and my rough edges will all smooth out in time. I do love getting petted and being played with and would do very well in an active household.
Buddie
Hello…My name is Buddie and I am 4 years old, I love to run and play fetch and I especially love to chase a laser pointer like a cat! I am very playful and enjoy the snow. I am fully crate trained and I do well on my own outside of the crate (when my previous owners left the crate open for me to go in and out of at my own will). Sometimes I even like to sleep inside the crate or go in there to relax. I do well on a leash (not a harness) but sometimes I tug a little…my new owner(s) and I can work on this. I can do the following commands: sit, stay, lay down and “easyâ€, I can give both paws when asked – however, I do not like my paws to be touched other than while I am giving my paw on command (bad experience with a groomer). Lastly, I speak (bark) on command!
In my former home, I liked the cats and I tried to play with them and be their friend, but they wanted nothing to do with me. I liked to cuddle and lay down with my owners and get belly-scratched. When I meet new people, I do the normal barking thing and can be cautious of some people until I get to know them (or they give me a treat!) So, just talk “puppy talk†to me and give me a treat and I am a love! I am a great watch dog and I respond well to a firm voice When playing and running with other dogs (like at the dog park), I have a certain growl sound that is just me expressing myself and does not mean I am vicious.
So, if you think I may be the dog for you after reading all about me, contact Kitty Connection and they will arrange a “meet and greet†and we can see if we hit it off!
