Crowd Turns Out for New Restaurant Opening

The line was out the door on Monday for the grand opening of the Chicken & Rice Guys in Medford Square. The new restaurant, a spin-off of the popular food truck, is located at 64 Salem Street. It is the Chicken & Rice Guys’ first “sit down and take out” place. The grand opening began at 11:30 AM and the wait was already forty minutes, according to Jillian McCarthy, who took the above photo of the outdoor line, which the restaurant said was gone after lunch. People braved the cold temps not only for the chance to win free chicken and rice for life with the discovery of a golden sticker, but simply because the food is good and the prices reasonable, according to followers.
