Community Preservation Act Meeting March 2nd

An ad hoc committee will meet on Wednesday, March 2 to discuss the Community Preservation Act (CPA).

The CPA, approved by voters in November, establishes a small surcharge on property taxes to create a fund that the city can use for affordable housing development, preserving open space, or rehabilitating historic buildings. The acceptance of the CPA also qualifies Medford to receive state funding for related projects.

The ad hoc committee members are City Councilors Adam Knight and John Falco, City Solicitor Mark Rumley, Energy and Environment Director Alicia Hunt, and resident Roberta Cameron.

The CPA meeting is taking place at 6:00 PM in Room 207 at Medford City Hall.
