Lady Mustang Hockey Teams Participates in All-Star Game

The Medford High girl’s varsity hockey team was well represented at the Northeastern Hockey League all-star game February 27th at Salem State University versus the Middlesex league.

Junior forward Ailish Fallon and sophomore defenseman Julia Shanahan (below, middle) helped lead the Northeastern Hockey League to a 3-0 victory over the Middlesex League. Also, representing the Northern Hockey League all-star’s were from Beverly Anna O’Neill, Kristen McCarthy, Anna Hayden, Rachel Spencer, McKinley Karpa, Izzy Primack, Marlee Hamor, Madison Jalbert, and Tiffany Foster. From Masconomet Meghan Hubbard, Sydney Sheerin, Izzy Sarra, Maddy Brooke, Charise Flanagan, and Kate Irons. From Winthrop Olivia Shkliew, Gretchen Howard, Mia Price, and Kelsie Griffiths. From Peabody Elise Murphy and Caroline Buckley. From Marblehead Kaitlyn Clarke.

Prior to the girls all-star game Mustang Ashley Morris (below, top) was recognized for receiving the Northeastern Hockey League sportsmanship award. Morris, a senior defenseman, was selected for the sportsmanship award by the Northeastern Hockey League coaches. Also recognized prior to the game were the league all-conference team of McKinley Karpa, Kristen McCarthy, Anna Hayden, Elise Murphy, Gretchen Howard, Izzy Sarra, and league MVP Anna O’Neill.
