Medford Public Schools to Offer Free STEM Speaker Series

The Medford Public Schools Science Department will be offering a series of seminars discussing relative and timely medical issues. Professional scientists will be reviewing cutting edge medical research. Everyone is welcome! No science background is necessary! Bring your family, kids, fellow students and friends to this free informational forum.

The series opens Tuesday, April 12th, and will feature Medford resident and Medford High School and Tufts University Alumnus, Dr. Jim Sampson, who will speak about “Immunology: The Body’s Defenses”. The lecture will take place in the Science Lecture Hall at Medford High School beginning at 7:00 PM.

Future seminar topics will include:

– Tuesday/April 26th – The Facts and Myths About Vaccines

– Tuesday/May 10th – New Breakthroughs in the Fight Against Cancer

– Tuesday/May 24th – Food Allergies and Current Treatments

Again, all discussions will be held in the Science Lecture Hall, Third Floor of Medford High School at 7:00 PM.
