MHS Robotics Team Earns Awards at Regional Tourney
|Last week, the Medford High School Robotics Team participated in the New England Regional Botball Robotics Tournament at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. The team under the advisorship of mathematics teacher, Ms. Barbara Chyen, with support from Midé Technology of Medford, proudly brought back three awards to the District.
In the Morning Seeding Rounds, Medford High School’s Robotics Team took second place. The Team also received a Judges Award for Outstanding Team Spirit. Overall, the team finished in third place. (17) teams competed in the New England regional tournament. The Overall Score was based on a weighted formula which combined: Three Periods of Online Documentations, Onsite Presentation, Morning Seeding Rounds and Afternoon Double Elimination Rounds.
Members of Medford High School’s Robotics team are: Seniors Serena Do and Chris Ellis; Juniors Joseph Farah, Scott McGoldrick, Matthew Avella, and Ronaldson Bellande; Sophomore Scott Ranjanathan; and Freshmen Ethan Medeiros and Darwin Do. Congratulations to them for their hard work and perseverance.
