State Primary Thursday, September 8, 2016
|– Allison Goldsberry
A state primary is taking place on Thursday, September 8 for several statewide positions. However, even though four ballots will be available for voters- Democrat, Republican, United Independent, and Green Rainbow- only the Democratic Party is fielding candidates.
All of the local incumbents are seeking re-election. State Senator Pat Jehlen, Middlesex Sheriff Peter Koutoujian, and Governor’s Councilor Terrence Kennedy all have opponents.
Polls open at 7:00 AM and close at 8:00 PM. A listing of Medford’s polling locations is available on the city website. Not sure which poll is yours? Enter your address here to find out.
Voters who will be going to any of the Medford Public Schools or Tufts University’s Gantcher Center should be aware that parking could be limited since school will be in session. Those voters are urged to avoid peak school traffic hours.
Incumbents are marked with an asterisk.
