Wegman’s to Open in Fall 2017

Grocery store chain Wegman’s is planning to open in the fall of 2017, according to information posted on its website. Wegman’s will be located at the former Meadow Glenn Mall, part of which has been demoed and is currently under construction. Anchor stores Marshalls and Kohl’s have rearranged their merchandise and customer entrances to remain open during the renovations. Wegman’s recently signed a 25 year lease for the location, according to published reports. A rendering of the 300,000 square foot property (above, top) on real estate development company New England Development’s website shows other retail stores in addition to Wegman’s. One of the new stores could be a pet store. New England Development didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
