Public Train, Bus Fare to Increase on July 1st


Starting Tuesday, July 1 new MBTA fares will be in place, according to information released by the state. The average fare increase is about 5%. Charlie Card users will pay $1.60 for the bus and $2.10 for the subway, compared to $2.10 and $2.65 for commuters paying cash or using a Charlie Ticket.
