In other sports news, the Boys and Girls Varsity Indoor Track teams pulled out some top performances at Saturday’s Greater Boston League meet at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center.

Despite several first-place finishes, the boys’ team finished 4th out of 7 teams with 56 points.  Daniel Gunn, Aiman Kilaouy, and Phil Galebach all took top honors in the 300 meter, 600 meter, and 2 mile race, respectively.  Gunn smoked the competition with a time of 37.99, Kilaouy bested his closest Cambridge competitor by a mere quarter of a second with a time of 1:28.03, and Galebach took the 2 mile with a time of 10:11.07.  The boys’ 4 x 200 meter relay also earned first place with a time of 1:37.50.  Coming in second were the 4 x 800 relay team, at 9:18.4, and John Beckshaw in the 1 mile race, at 4:46.11.

The girls placed 5th collectively out of 7 teams, earning 26 points.  Katherine Picarde placed 2nd in the 1 mile race with a time of 5:57.6 and the 4 x 200 meter relay team placed 2nd with a time of 1:54.
