Varsity Baseball

Top performers: Sophomore Ian Fitzgerald, .405 batting average, 2nd in GBL; senior captain Ben Waldrip, .388 batting average, 3rd in GBL; junior Richie LeBert, 0.57 ERA, 1st in GBL
Post-season potential: A .500 record is needed for the team to play in the state tournament for first time since 2001, so they need to win at least four of their seven remaining games.
Varsity Softball
Record: 3-3 GBL (5th in league), 3-7 overall

Top performers: Nicole Lopilato, .600 batting average, 3rd in GBL
Post-season potential: A .500 record is needed to play in the state tournament so the team needs to win at least five of its six remaining games; Medford was knocked off by Beverly in the first round last year.
Boys’ Lacrosse

Girls’ Tennis

Post-season potential: A .500 record is needed as a team to qualify for the state tournament, so the team needs to win at least one of its remaining matches. The girls made it last year and were knocked out by Methuen in the preliminary round.
Boys’ Outdoor Track

Top performers: junior Philip Galebach, 2-mile, 9:43.8 (fastest in league and eastern MA)
Post-season potential: Talented Mustang Philip Galebach will likely qualify for states as an individual in the 2-mile race, as he did for indoor track this year.
